'I'm going to be the yummiest mummy there is': Chantelle Houghton pregnant with Alex Reid's baby

By Emily Sheridan

Just two and a half months after announcing they were trying for a baby, Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid are expecting their first child.

The former glamour model, 28, is 11 weeks pregnant with her first child.

The couple's baby news comes just five weeks after Reid, 36, proposed to her on an Irish chat show.

We're pregnant! Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton are expecting their first child together

The giddy blonde tells OK! magazine: 'Oh my God! I'm pregnant. Let me through - I'm going to be the yummiest mummy there is.

'I'm milking it, trust me. I've told my friends and family, if I'm going through it, you're all going through it.
'I don't know exactly when the baby was conceived... I found out four weeks ago.'

The couple revealed they were trying for a baby in August after Houghton revealed she had a low fertility.

At the time, Houghton claimed doctors told her in-vitro fertilisation was her only hope of getting pregnant.

Baby on board: Houghton and Reid were unaware of her pregnancy when they holidayed in Florida six weeks ago

But given she's nearly three months along, it appears the reality star fell pregnant immediately when she began trying.

The Big Brother stars were on the verge of starting IVF treatment when Houghton did a pregnancy test from Boots.

Despite her luck at pregnant so quickly, she has hit out at sceptics who may have questioned her fertility issues.

She explained: 'I've been seeing a private doctor and he said: "Well, you've proved them wrong, haven't you?"

'Alex and I have spent thousands on private fertility treatment. All the tests and consultations. I have all the drugs at home. It does make me question these doctors. But then again, maybe it really is a miracle.'

Impromptu: Reid proposed to Houghton on The Saturday Night Show in Ireland last month

No doubt Reid will be pleased his fiancée's pregnancy has silenced those who accused him of 'shooting blanks' when he was trying to have a baby with estranged wife Katie Price.

Reid and Price underwent two courses IVF treatment last year after struggling to conceive for six months.

Because Price has already had three children, critics unfairly accused Reid of being infertile.

But he proudly spoke of his virility at the time on his Twitter page, saying: 'Two specialists both confirm I have above average sperm production and working great.'

Houghton and Reid announced their engagement last month after a whirlwind six month romance.
They started dating in April after meeting at Fate Awards in Belfast, just a few weeks after Houghton's high-profile split from TV presenter Rav Wilding.

But they will have to wait until Reid divorces estranged wife Katie Price, following their separation earlier this year.
No doubt both will be hoping their second marriage lasts longer than their first after both couples separated just 10 months after their weddings.

Reid wed Price in Las Vegas in February 2010 after seven months of dating, while Houghton tied the knot with Samuel Preston in April 2006, just four months after meeting on Celebrity Big Brother.

'What's a whisk?' Ditzy Chantelle Houghton fails to impress her celebrity dinner guests on Come Dine With Me

By Sarah Bull

She was never going to be the most accomplished of chefs.

But when Chantelle Houghton invited four celebrities over for dinner for a special edition of Come Dine With Me, she stunned her guests with her complete lack of skills in the kitchen.

Chantelle had decided to make Eton Mess for dessert, but managed to get herself in a state when she couldn't figure out what to use to whip the cream.

What's a whisk? Chantelle Houghton looks a bit bemused by the prospect of whipping cream for her Eton Mess dessert on Celebrity Come Dine With Me

Ringing her best friend, Chantelle asked her: 'How do you whip something, what do you whip it with? A whipper?'

Ten minutes later, an elated Chantelle thought she had cracked it, saying: 'I know, it's called a whisker!'

Chantelle was given the task of preparing dinner for four fellow celebrities - Dead Or Alive singer Pete Burns, comedienne Cleo Rocos, Pineapple Dance Studios' Andrew Stone and champion darts player Bobby George.

Eat up! Chantelle was cooking for Cleo Rocos, Pete Burns, Bobby George and Andrew Stone

But former Big Brother star Chantelle admitted she was more than a little nervous about preparing dinner for her guests

She said: 'I've never hosted a dinner party before and I don't think I ever will again - it's so stressful!'

Chantelle opted to prepare an entirely vegetarian meal for her fellow stars, despite knowing that Bobby is a carnivore through and through.

How do you cook this? Chantelle admitted she had no idea what she was doing in the kitchen as she prepared dinner for her guests

Struggling: Chantelle admitted she would not be hosting a dinner party again

She decided to prepare bruschetta to start, followed by Surprise Spaghetti Bolognaise (the surprise being that it wasn't real meat), and Eton Mess for dessert.

And after admitting she had 'never' before made bruschetta, Chantelle told the Channel 4 cameras that she was blagging her way through.

She laughed: 'This is called blagging it! Just chop it and hope for the best really!'

Chantelle also ran into problems in her local supermarket when she tried to figure out how much vegetarian mince she needed.

Keeping it real: Chantelle popped to her local supermarket to pick up the ingredients for her meal

She said: 'This is a family pack, but how many people are in a family? How many packs do you think I need?'

Strolling around her supermarket looking remarkably out of place in a pair of sky-high heels, Chantelle added: 'Even though I'm a celebrity, I like to keep it real and I'm just getting my weekly shop like everyone else on the street.'

And after her bruschetta went down well as the starter, Bobby was less than impressed with the main, calling it 'Mickey Mouse meat'.

He joked: 'She's an awful cook but them good looking birds normally are!'

Bobby also had something to say about one of his fellow guests, singer Pete, who is almost unrecognisable after a series of plastic surgery procedures.

Bobby said: 'When I opened the door and saw Pete I thought that it was Tutankhamen with a wig on - he made me jump!

What's going on? Darts player Bobby was unimpressed with Pete Burns' appearance

Changing faces: Pete donned a blonde wig for Chantelle's meal before changing into a green wig for another meal later in the week

'He frightens me. He's like something that falls out of space - he's like an alien.'

And when Chantelle decided to entertain her guests by playing 'What would you be if you weren't a celebrity'? Bobby said to Pete, 'If you weren't you, you'd be a woman.'

He later added: 'Pete looks like a woman, he's got make-up on and he says that he didn't like women!'

Chantelle's other entertainment idea, making everyone do a catwalk while she judged, did not go down well with Pete, who complained: 'I thought that Chantelle's idea of entertainment sucked a big one.'

And while Chantelle marked herself a 6.5 out of 10 after the meal, her celebrity guests were slightly kinder with their scoring.

'I've never had so much sex': Alex Reid and Chantelle juggle IVF and natural methods as they try for baby

By Nadia Mendoza

Happy families: Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton, pictured here at the Amika event for London Fashion Week, are trying for a baby

After a whirlwind seven months, Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid have decided to start a family together.

But following a battle with bulimia and years of dieting destroying her body, the couple have turned to IVF as well as overdosing on natural methods.

The blonde reality star, who notoriously shot to fame after being the only non-celebrity to win Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, cannot rely on biology alone and Alex, who won CBB in 2010, sees the obstacle as 'a challenge'.

Alex, 36, told OK!: 'It's a big leap for us. It's only seven months since we got together. It's not a decision we've taken lightly at all.

'Chantelle has been saying: "Oh you can back out if you want!" No way. I've thought about this long and hard and it's what I really want.'

Speaking of her trips to the IVF clinic, Chantelle, 28, said: 'It's all really positive. I've had tests done. They can help us.

'I've had a lot of scans and horrible, painful things done to me.'

But despite help from the professionals, there is a chance the duo can conceive naturally without the egg being fertilised in a laboratory.

Alex added: 'I've never had so much sex. I was complaining to my mate, "She wants sex in the morning, she wants sex all the time." He was like, "Really? Stop moaning. Soon enough you won't be able to get any."'

And while Alex has a history of rushing into things, notably marrying former flame Katie Price after seven months together, he claims: 'I am normally so careful not to do things hastily.'

The pair also revealed they have chosen baby names already, but refused to ruin the surprise.

He credited his relationship with Katie for leading to his meeting to Chantelle, alluding to the turn of events as a 'Sliding Doors' effect.

The cagefighter revealed he has lost respect for his ex-wife after she branded their dirty laundry in public and even claimed he was so scared of her during their time together that he couldn't breathe.

However, love conquers all and speaking of his new girlfriend, he said: 'It is a fairytale. This wasn't the plan.

'Sometimes I have to pinch myself. I'm really in love.'
