'I bought him silk boxers to get into character!' Miranda Kerr reveals how she gets husband Orlando Bloom in the mood

With a Victoria's Secret model for a wife, you'd think Orlando Bloom would be permanently in the mood for love.

But Miranda Kerr has revealed she bought the Lord Of the Rings actor silk boxer shorts to 'get him into character'.

The slender mother-of-one made her confession while filming an episode of The Chelsea Lately Show in LA.


Ever the professional, she later emerged from the studios in an all-black ensemble, treating the sidewalk as her runway.

Strutting along in leather trousers, Kerr, 28, bore a resemblance to Katie Holmes as waves of brunette hair tumbled over her shoulders.

The Australian model added a splash of colour with burgundy lipstick, but otherwise opted for midnight shades with a black vest top and heels.

Before the interview, Handler gushed about Kerr's post-pregnancy body, with both girls complimenting each other on how fabulous they looked.

Miranda then confessed her husband has a soft spot for the comedienne.

She said: 'I was speaking to Orlando and he was like, "She's just so hot!" He loves you.'

Chelsea then reminisced about a former interview with the English actor, who appeared on her show a few weeks prior to his wife and confessed on air that he wears blue silk boxer shorts.

Kerr replied: 'Well he had to get into character so I bought him these silk boxer shorts and it kind of helped.'

When she was asked, 'Character for what?', the brunette beauty blushed, answering: 'For, you know, us. I don't want to tell you what he bought me.'

Speaking of her son Flynn, who was born in January, Miranda said: 'He's such a cutie.

'(During an outing) I was pulling the scarf over to cover him from the paparazzi, and he was pulling it down, like, "Hey guys! Here I am."'

The ladies also discussed Kerr's decision to have a natural birth.

Miranda added: 'I was so determined to have a natural childbirth. Now I can much more easily handle a paper cut.'

She also joked that while she went without an epidural, Orlando wanted one for himself.

Kerr was promoting the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in which she wore a $2.5million bra, which airs tonight on CBS in America.

Tag along with mum: Miranda Kerr's baby Flynn was wrapped up warm for another day on set with his supermodel mother


She's gushed in the past about how much she loves her job allowing her to bring her son to work with her every day.

But Miranda Kerr's baby Flynn probably wished she'd left him warm at home with a babysitter just this once, as the mother and son spent a day outside in the freezing temperatures in New York.

While 10-month-old Flynn was bundled up in cosy knitwear against the frosty weather, his supermodel mother, 28, had to go bare-legged.


Australian Kerr was dressed in a coral-coloured suit to model for the Spring/Summer campaign for Australian department store David Jones near Rockefeller Center.

But in between takes she added black Ugg boots and a long puffy jacket to keep warm.
She'd dressed little Flynn up in trainers and black tracksuit bottoms, and a grey knit jumper with matching beanie.

The usually sunny model seemed a little downcast, which is unsurprising given the long hours on the freezing set, but she cuddled her adorable son happily as she waited to pose for photographers.

Miranda has been the face of David Jones since 2008, returning to her native Australia several times a year to appear in catwalk shows as the company's ambassador.

She was also given the top spot at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, wearing the coveted $2.5million Fantasy Bra, an honour previously awarded to Heidi Klum and Gisele Bundchen.

The pair were to meet up with Miranda's actor husband Orlando Bloom who is in London promoting his new film, The Three Musketeers.

The model said this week that juggling motherhood with her high-powered career wasn't easy.

'I’m still breastfeeding so I have to express milk and send it back to [Flynn], and then try and see him on my breaks,' she told People.

He was reunited with his son and heir in London having not seen him since Miranda flew back to Los Angeles from New Zealand, where Orlando has been filming The Hobbit.

He may only be eight months old but little Flynn is already quite the seasoned traveller.

The little tot and mother Miranda Kerr were seen making their way through L.A.X airport yesterday to embark on yet another long haul flight.

Miranda, as ever, was looking suitably stylish in a pair of skinny jeans, a black jacket and a pair of Ray-Bans as she made her way to the flight.


The Victoria’s Secret model, 28, was holding her most precious carry on, her son Flynn, on her hip as she headed to the plane.

The eight-month-old boy was looking adorable in a striped jumper, a bright red body-warmer and black trousers.

And it seems that Flynn certainly doesn’t mind all the jet setting as he was seen beaming with delight as the pair got out of the car at the airport.
