And now, the 18-year-old has been confronted about her transformation into a more demure version of herself.

More demure: Daybreak host Kate Garraway confronted Cher Lloyd about her recent transformation into lookalike Cheryl Cole

But she says she still hasn't spoken to her former mentor.

Daybreak host Kate Garraway, said to the Swagger Jagger singer yesterday: 'As soon as you appeared on the show... everyone said, and I'm sure you've had this all year, "Wow, you look so much like Cheryl Cole, you look like your old mentor." All of that kind of thing.

'But you know, things happen. It was a TV show and i don't expect people to have to keep in contact with me.'

He's mine! Cher brought along her boyfriend, hairdresser Craig Monk, for support

Clean-cut: Cher is missing the chains, ripped jeans and biker boots that shot her to fame when she auditioned for the X Factor last year

When Kate asked if her new glossy mane was a 'conscious thing', Cher said: 'That's just come with being happy.

'Sometimes you get really run down and you don't feel at your best. if you're happy within, it shows on the outside.'

She said she was a lot happier since leaving the show.

She's famous now: The 18-year-old was happy to sign autographs for fans yesterday

'It helps that i don't need to fight as much as before.'

After Cher performed her new single, With Your Love, on Sunday's elimination show, fans took to Twitter to point out the resemblance.

Times have changed: Cher also spoke about how she was a lot happier since leaving the show because she didn't 'have to fight'

Cher has been dating hairdresser Craig Monk, 21, since April.

She brought him to the ITV studios for support yesterday and was hugged him as she posed for photos and signed autographs.

Cher also spoke about her nerves on Sunday's show.

Back in the game: Cher Lloyd returned to the X Factor stage as guest star and performed her new single With Your Love

She may not have won the competition last year but last night Cher Lloyd returned to the X Factor stage and proved she's still got what it takes to be a star.

The 18-year-old was welcomed back to the show as a guest star where she sang her new single, With Your Love.

Cher made it to the final of the singing competition and has enjoyed a year of success since being voted off the show.

Tired but excited: The young star told X Factor host Dermot O'Leary that she couldn't remember the last time she had a 'good nights sleep'

Wearing a multi-coloured checked outfit that consisted of a matching top and tutu with a huge bow on the front, the brunette pop star looked a bit nervous to be back on the famous stage.

Finishing off her look with a pair of black and white platform brogues, white ankle sock and fuchsia pink lipstick, the kooky singer still enjoyed showing off her talent.

Sharing her limelight with a host of professional dancers, who wore similar outfits to her, Cher seemed overwhelmed when her performance was over.

Dancing and singing: The 18-year-old gave an energetic performance and was joined by many dancers who wore similar outfits to her

'I cant remember the last time I had a good nights sleep,' she told X Factor host, Dermot O'Leary.

'But I've worked hard and I'm hoping it's paid off,' she added.

Cher - who auditioned for the show two times previously before being accepted - was signed by Simon Cowell's record label, Syco Music after last year's show came to an end.

Her debut album, Sticks + Stones is set to be released next month and will certainly be a hit with Cher's loyal fans.

She's already experienced her first number one with her debut single, Swagger Jagger, which she released in July this year and has collaborated with U.S. star, Mike Posner, on her second single which is available tomorrow.

Cher certainly caused controversy on last year's X Factor after her mentor at the time, Cheryl Cole, put her through to the live shows even though she forgot her lines during a crucial performance at judges' houses.

It was also revealed that during a sing off with fellow contestant, Mary Byrne, in the semi-final Cher had received the fewest public votes but was once again saved by the majority of the panel.

Monochrome: Cher changed into a black and white shirt dress and wedges as she left the studio

Loved up: Cher heads home with hairdresser boyfriend Craig Monk after appearing on ITV2 spin-off show Xtra Factor

Meanwhile, the Malvern teenager has admitted she has already moved in with hairdresser boyfriend Craig Monk, who she started dating in April.

The 18-year-old is convinced she's met her soulmate and she will end up marrying him one day.

She told the Sunday Mirror: 'We're living together, we're very settled. This is it. You won't ever hear of me having another boyfriend.

'My life is f**king sorted. It's cushty. I'm rubbing my hands like an emperor. I'm on top of the world. I hope one day we'll be married and having kids.'

'Louis, I love you... do I 'eck!' Cher Lloyd reignites feud with X Factor judge Walsh in new interview

By Sarah Bull

Louis Walsh has never been shy revealing his true feelings about former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd, labelling the teenager a diva and a 'brat'.

But now Cher has hit back at the talent show judge, reigniting the pair's feud and saying she can't wait to see Louis in person to talk about their differences properly.

She said: 'You’ve still got Louis Urgh! Do you know what? He’s bored. Let him have his little play around. Louis, I love yer…do I ‘eck!

Outspoken: Cher Lloyd has reignited her feud with X Factor judge Louis Walsh in a new interview

'What he doesn’t realise is we’re going to bump into each other at some party or whatever. That’s is, if he’s not at home watching Coronation Street. Poor lad!'

However, Cher did say she was pleased to see how the new judges - Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos have taken to the show.

She said: 'I love the show this year! I’m really, liking Kelly - she’s doing really well. I think it’s hard for them, but the new judges have handled it well.'

New line-up: Cher praised the new judges, particularly Kelly Rowland, but blasted Louis yet again

But With Ur Love singer Cher insisted that if she'd been asked to join a group to get through to the live finals of the competition, she would have said no.

She told We Love Pop magazine: 'Noooooo way! Two fingers up! I just don’t belong in a band.

'I’d stick out like a sore thumb. I like doing my own thing. I like the stage to be mine and mine alone. Hahaha!'

Cher also spoke about how she is learning to establish an image for herself as she becomes bigger in the music industry.

She said: 'We’re not all blessed with beauty. You have to work on it. I think I’m still finding my feet in terms of what I want to look like.

'I’ve always been a bit of an odd-bod! I’ve always been one of the odd children. I was the kid at school the parents blamed for their kids turning out wrong.'
