Pregnant Amanda Holden shuns typical maternity wear for sexy backless dress on date night with husband Chris Hughes

Maternity what? Pregnant Amanda Holden shunned the typical loose-fitting clothes for a form-fitting minidress as she dined out with husband Chris Hughes in London last night

She's due at the beginning of 2012, but Amanda Holden isn't letting her ever-growing baby bump get in the way of her sense of style.

The 40-year-old presenter shunned typical maternity wear for a super-tight and sexy black backless dress as she enjoyed an evening out with husband Chris Hughes in London last night.

Amanda showed off her pregnancy curves in the form-fitting dress, which she teamed with opaque tights and animal-print heels as the pair hit Scott's Restaurant for a bite to eat.

The pretty blonde appears to be relishing her pregnancy, looking radiant as she made the most of her night out.

But while Amanda highlighted her growing figure in her tight dress last night, she took to Twitter earlier this week to tell fans Chris has come up with a less than flattering nickname for her.

Tweeting a picture of the Mr Men's Mr Greedy, Amanda wrote: 'Chrispy says I am starting to look like this!'

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda revealed in August that she and Chris were expecting again after tragically losing a baby boy last year.

The pair are already parents to five-year-old daughter Lexi.

And she has told how she is convinced this pregnancy will be positive.

She said: 'This time I just know everything is going to be fine.

'Even Chris, who usually says ‘I hope so’ when I ask for reassurance, now says “I know so”.’

After discovering she was pregnant again, Amanda insisted she would not be doing anything to jeopardise her pregnancy and decided to end her run in Shrek The Musical early.

Explaining the decision, Amanda wrote on her website at the time: 'My first priority is of course my family.I will therefore be adjusting one of my professional commitments accordingly.

'Due to its physical content this means I will end my contract with Shrek The Musical eight weeks early.

'I will endeavour to continue the show until October. I do however ask you to bear with me as I will be putting myself and this pregnancy first.'

And Amanda certainly managed to fulfill her promise - dazzling audiences every night before Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh took over in the role of Princess Fiona.
